Description
South Shotton House is a house built around 1800, with a late 19th-century rear wing. The structure is made of squared tooled stone, featuring a snecked stone wing, tooled-and-margined quoins, and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high on a basement and has three bays arranged symmetrically. There are eight steps leading up to a central old half-glazed door, flanked by 16-pane sash windows, with all openings framed in alternating-block surrounds. The gables are coped, and there are stepped-and-banded end stacks. The left side of the building displays a central 6-pane attic sash window.
