Description
The garden wall and outbuildings located south of North Shotton Farmhouse date from the late 18th century. The inner face of the wall is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall bond 1 and 4, while the outer face is made of rubble with stone dressings. The wall is tall and features a flat stone coping. Next to the farmhouse, there is a doorway with an irregular block surround. The outer face of the wall has four raking buttresses. At the southern end, there are small pent outbuildings attached to each face of the wall, and a short wing wall returns to the east, with the coping sloping down.
