Description
Nos 20 and 22 Narrowgate are a pair of buildings dating from 1831, as indicated by a rainwater head with the initials 'S.W.' They are three storeys tall and feature three wide-spaced windows. The buildings are constructed of ashlar stone and include a cill course at the second floor, a frieze cornice, and a blocking course. Brackets frame the lintels of the second-floor windows onto a frieze band. There are two later shop fronts, with panelled pilasters on No 20 and fluted pilasters on No 22. A central doorway leads into the house, and the rear has a stone slate roof.
