Description
The garden wall and summerhouse, located approximately 100 yards north of Cheeseburn Grange, date from the 18th century. The wall is constructed of random rubble and measures about 40 yards long and 8 feet high. It features an ashlar door surround that reuses a door surround from 1694. The door surround is bolection-moulded and topped with a large scrolled pediment supported by brackets. This pediment displays a large crest and shield of the Widdrington family, inscribed with "RW MW 16 94." Flanking the pediment are two large busts of spotted bulls, which are the crest of the Widdringtons.
