Description
Grange House Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is built of dressed stone with ashlar dressings and has a 20th-century tiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring raised alternating quoins. The central entrance consists of a panelled door set in a raised alternating-block surround with a triple keystone above it. The sash windows, which have had their intermediate glazing bars removed, are also set in raised alternating-block surrounds with keystones. The roof is steeply pitched and gabled, with kneelers, flat coping, and corniced end stacks. On the left side, there is a blank Venetian window that was formerly painted to imitate glazing bars, likely intended as an eye catcher for those traveling to Cheeseburn Grange.
