Description

The Chicken headstone, located 19 meters south of the chancel of St. Andrew's Church, dates from 1723. It is made of sandstone and features a small stone with a depressed ogival top. The inscription commemorates Thomas Chicken. On the reverse side, there is a sunk square panel that displays a crossed spade and shovel with a mallet above.
