Description
The Coach House and Storage Buildings to the east of the stables at Lilburn Tower are two estate buildings dating from the mid-19th century and later in the 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared stone and feature Welsh slate roofs.
The earlier north building is two storeys high and has four bays. It includes two segmental carriage entrances on the right, which have slatted wooden doors, and two perforated doors on the left, one of which is a stable door. There is a small window off-centre, and on the first floor, there are four windows with pivoted upper sections. The angles and all openings have flush quoins, and the openings are chamfered. The roof has ridged stone coping with kneelers and square peaks.
The later east building is also two storeys and has four bays. It features slatted upper windows, three irregularly-placed doors, and part-slatted windows on the ground floor. The quoins and chamfers are similar to those of the earlier building. This building also has a roof vent and plain stone coping, with steps leading to a first-floor end door.
These buildings are included mainly for their group value.
