Description
This boundary stone, dating from around 1830, is located on the moor approximately 300 metres north-west of Snook Bank Farm. It is made of cut sandstone and features a segmental-topped pillar that stands 0.8 metres high. The north-west face of the stone has incised letters "W D," while the reverse side is worn. This stone is the last remaining of a row of seven stones that were marked on Ordnance Survey maps, which delineated the south-east side of a trapezoidal area of moorland.
