Description

The moor tomb located 5 metres east of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary is a Grade II listed table tomb dating from 1787. It is made of sandstone and features a slab with shaped ends, a moulded edge, and an inscription dedicated to Nicholas Moor of Stannington White House. The closed end panels between the legs are designed in the form of urns with gadrooned tops and swags on the sides.
