Description

Nos. 1-9 Marygate are a group of buildings dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, situated on the south side of Marygate, facing the Town Hall and on the corner of Hide Hill with Church Street. The buildings have pebbledashed or stone facades, with some rusticated quoins, and feature red pantile roofs. They are two and three storeys high, with shop windows on the ground floor and sash windows above. Some of the upper floor windows are segmental headed and feature keystones.
