Description

Barclays Bank occupies an 18th-century building on Hide Hill. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with rusticated quoins and a prominent cornice featuring scrollwork. The ground floor has three windows, each with its own cornice supported by fluted scroll brackets, and flanking doors. The door to No. 24 has a traceried fanlight. Nos. 2 to 36 (even numbers) and Nos. 44 to 54 (even numbers) form a group.
