Description
The Lodge is an early 19th-century gate lodge located at Mitford Hall Drive in Mitford. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The entrance is accessed by three steps leading up to a hexastyle prostyle Tuscan portico. The central door is flush-panelled and has a three-pane overlight above it, flanked by six-pane sash windows set in recessed panels. The roof is hipped with a central transverse ridge stack, which has a stepped and corniced base supporting two circular shafts with moulded caps. On the left side, there is a six-pane sash window. A later extension at the rear is not considered to be of special interest.
