Description
Field Hall Lodge is a lodge built between 1810 and 1817 by Sir Charles Monck, with later extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and snecked stone, topped with a Welsh slate roof, and is a single-storey building.
The original structure consists of two bays by one bay, with an additional one-bay wing that creates an L-shape, along with an outshut in the re-entrant angle. There is a doorway located in the outshut.
The original section is designed in the Greek Doric style, featuring angle pilasters. It has two four-pane sash windows set in plain reveals and is topped with a Doric entablature. The building has a blocking course and a low-pitched hipped roof, which includes a ridge stack.
On the left side, there is an attached pedimented temple front supported by two Greek Doric columns in antis.
