Description
Bridge Street House is an early 19th-century former schoolmaster's house, originally associated with Tomlinson school. It is constructed of tooled stone, with a blue slate roof. The house is two storeys high and four bays wide. A top-glazed six-panel door is located in the second bay, and there is a boarded door on the far right. The windows are 12-pane sashes; the ground floor window on the left is missing. All windows are set within chamfered surrounds and have slightly-projecting sills. The right gable is coped, and the ridge and right end have stepped and corniced stacks.
