Description

This cattle shelter, also known as a field hemel, was built in 1816 for G. & R. Turnbull. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a pantiled roof. The structure is single storey and consists of two bays, each with two segmental arches. Above these arches, there is a panel inscribed with "G & R T 1816." The roof is gabled with flat coping. Inside, the original roof timbers include collar-beam trusses and two rows of purlins.
