Description
The dovecote, located 100 metres south-west of Hall, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with roughly-cut quoins and features a stone slate roof topped with a wooden cap. The dovecote has a square plan and includes a boarded door facing the house, with three pigeon holes above it. The pyramidal roof has a wooden cap that features two arched pigeon holes on each side, positioned above an alighting shelf supported by two brackets. The left side of the dovecote has blocked pigeon holes situated above an alighting band. The rear elevation displays a small boarded opening above a pair of arched pigeon holes with an alighting shelf, and a five-pane fixed casement above that. At the time of the survey, the wooden cap was noted to be in poor condition.
