Description
The roadside wall to the south of Lesbury Bridge is a structure likely dating from the 18th century, made of squared stone. It features a tall flat-coped design with two part-blocked segmental arches near the left end, as well as other blocked openings, including one arched, in the right section of the wall. This wall is part of the former Lesbury Mill, which has historical significance as there has been a mill on or near this site since at least the 13th century. The mill was destroyed by fire in 1964.
