Description
This is a headstone located 5 metres south of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist in Edlingham. It dates from 1774 and is made of cut sandstone. The headstone features an upright broad corniced pier with hip-ended coping. A sunk panel with concave corners displays the inscription for 'John Hawe and Aime his wife'. There is also a recessed cross, which was formerly inlaid, on each side of the headstone.
