Description

The Hallington War Memorial is located by the roadside to the south of the crossroads, approximately 200 meters east of Hallington Mill. It is a tall cross made of Cornish granite, featuring chamfered edges, which rises from a rough-hewn pedestal. The pedestal is set on a two-stepped, square base.

On the smoothed front face of the pedestal, there is an inscription in metal letters that reads: "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE/ MEN FROM HALLINGTON AND BINGFIELD/ DISTRICT WHO SERVED 1914-1918/ THE FOLLOWING DIED FOR ENGLAND/ (NAMES)/ 'THEY SOUGHT THE GLORY OF THEIR COUNTRY,/ THEY SEE THE GLORY OF GOD'."
