Description
This is a barn with an adjacent gingang, located 60 metres south of Paxton Dene Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared stone and features a slate roof. The barn has a gingang attached to the centre of its west wall, which includes a slit vent and a boarded door with tooled-and-margined dressings to the left, as well as a similar doorway (now blocked) and another boarded door to the right. The gingang consists of seven stepped stone piers and has a roof structure with radiating struts and curving purlins. At the rear of the barn, there are adjacent farm buildings that have been altered and are not of interest.
