Description
Woodhorn Mill is a windmill tower, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from tooled squared stone with tooled-and-margined dressings, and features a tapering circular tower that rises five stories. The ground floor has moulded stone brackets, and there is a ring of beam slots above the first floor. At ground level, there are two blocked doors, and the second floor has two boarded pitching doors. The windows on the two lower floors are blocked, while the upper floors have renewed small-paned casements. All openings are framed with chamfered surrounds. Inside, some floor beams and machinery gearing are still present.
