Description
The hydrant and trough, located 15 meters west of the Wheatsheaf Public House, dates from the 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from cut stone, with a cast iron and ceramic inner trough. The outer trough features glinters at the front corners, made of upright slabs connected by iron clamps. The inner trough is stamped by Walker of Corbridge. At the rear of the trough, there is a monolithic shaped block with a water spout.
