Description

Nos. 1-3 King Street comprise cottages and a shop, dating to the early 19th century with alterations in the later 19th century. The building is rendered with a Welsh slate roof. The taller, two-storey shop on the left-hand side has a shop front and two doorways, with consoles supporting a wooden cornice. Above the shop front are two 16-pane sash windows with projecting lintels and sills. Raised quoins are visible. The two-storey cottages to the right feature two early 19th century 12-pane shop windows and a 20-pane sliding sash on the ground floor. There are three plank doors. The first-floor windows are mostly 16-pane sashes. The building has two stone gable stacks and three stone ridge stacks. It is included on the list for its group value.
