Description
This stable and carriage house, located approximately 80 yards north of Ilderton Vicarage, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed-stone detailing and features alternating-block surrounds, topped with a pantiled roof. The building is two stories high with a four-bay center and single-storey wings on either side.
The third bay includes a boarded door, flanked by a half-shuttered window. Above, there are four half-slatted windows. In the single-storey wing to the right, there is a segmental arch with boarded double doors. The roof is gabled with flat coping, and there are outside stone steps leading to the rear.
