Description

These gatepiers, located approximately 2 yards south-west of Ovingham Vicarage, date from the mid to late 17th century. They are constructed from ashlar stone and feature bulgy, rounded rustication. The gatepiers have finely moulded cornices with square blocks positioned above, as well as another band of rustication. The bases of the gatepiers are topped with pyramids that once held finials, which are now missing.
