Description
Eden House is a house built around 1840, constructed from Flemish-bond brick with ridged concrete roof tiles and rebuilt brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with a three-pane overlight that has patterned glazing, all set within a wide painted stone doorcase. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows. A painted sill band runs along the first floor, where there are two-pane sash windows above. The roof is adorned with a wood eaves cornice supported by large paired brackets, and it has stone-coped gables along with two early 20th-century flat-topped dormers that contain cross casements. The end stacks feature top bands. The house is included for its group value.
