Description

The wall and tower located to the east of Number 46A in High Coniscliffe date from the mid-19th century. The structure features a coursed rubble wall and a squared limestone tower. The low embattled wall extends eastward for 60 metres and terminates near the driveway to The Old Vicarage. The tower, which is off-centre and has a semicircular plan, consists of two stepped stages, loops, and a projecting embattled parapet supported by corbels. This structure holds significant landscape value.
