Description
The boundary wall and tower to the west of Number 48, known as The Old Vicarage, were built in the mid-19th century. The wall is made of coursed rubble and is 80 metres long, featuring an embattled design that connects to the left side of The Old Vicarage. It rises directly from the quarry face to the northwest and includes a small blocked pointed archway near The Old Vicarage. The wall terminates to the west of the former Coach House. Additionally, there is a tall, semicircular-plan tower located 30 metres west of The Old Vicarage. This tower has three stepped stages, loop openings, and a projecting embattled parapet supported by corbels. The structure is included for its group and landscape value.
