Description

Tees Bank House is an 18th-century farmhouse, constructed in three phases. It is built of rubble stone, with whitewashed walls and pantiled roofs. The building is divided into three sections: a single-storey east section, a taller two-storey central section, and a lower two-storey west section. The road-facing elevation has relatively few windows. The garden front displays a left-hand section with Yorkshire sash windows above and replaced casements below. This section retains chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and also includes a segmental vaulted brick cellar. The central section is characterized by its wide proportions and replaced sash windows with glazing bars set in near-flush wooden architraves. The right-hand section has 19th-century casements. A later projecting central porch has been added.
