Description
Blackwell is an 18th-century farmhouse, now located in a suburban setting. It is a two-story building with two windows, and its roof has been renewed with modern ridged tiles. There are chimneys at each end of the roof, with the west chimney rebuilt above a projecting breast. The house is constructed of painted brick. It features finely gauged flat brick arches over late 19th-century paired sash windows. A similar arch is above the four-panel door, which is accessed by two stone steps. A late 19th-century two-story extension with one window has been added to the left side. This extension has a small gable above the first-floor window. The south-east corner of the ground floor has been cut away and corbelled out above. The building is capable of restoration.
