Description
Kaysburn House is a house from the early to mid-18th century, constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and brick dressings. It features a pantiled roof with brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central door has been renewed, with two-light horizontal sliding sashes on either side, all set under brick lintels. There are three smaller horizontal sliding sashes located at the eaves. The steeply-pitched roof has chimneys at both ends. The left and right returns of the house have horizontal sashes on the first floor. At the rear, there is a two-bay, one-storey extension with a catslide roof, raised over a central door, and flanked by two-light horizontal sashes with projecting brick sills. A French window has been inserted in the third bay.
Inside, the house has timber-framed partitions beside the central stair and roof collared trusses with swept feet.
