Description
The hand-ball wall located at the rear of the Langley Park Public House dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. The wall stands approximately 6 metres high and 12 metres wide, featuring pilasters at both ends and at three intermediate points, topped with a flat stone coping. This structure is a rare example of a once common feature in the mining villages of the region. There is also a later pent outhouse nearby, but it is not considered of special interest.
