Description
Ushaw Home Farm's former carpenter's shop, now used for storage, was built between 1851 and 1852 by Joseph Hansom as part of a planned farm layout. The building is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings. It stands two storeys high and has five bays. The wide central entrance is topped with a chamfered stone lintel, and there is a two-centred-arched window to the left. The wide windows at the eaves have overlapping panes of glass and are separated by stone piers. A chimney is located at the right end of the building.
