Description

The stable and shed located to the southeast of No. 35, Escomb Farmhouse, is a mid-18th century structure. It is built of rubble with quoins and features a roof made of corrugated asbestos and pantiles. The building has a height of one to two storeys and consists of three bays. The stable and loft section on the right has two storeys and three bays, with thin wooden lintels over a boarded door at the left end and a Dutch door at the right end. There is a small open light with a hit and miss vent between the doors, and a pitching door is located above at the centre. The right side of the building has a triangular vent in the gable peak and triangular block gable edges. The attached cart shed on the left has three wide boarded doors and a pantiled roof. This structure is included for its group value.
