Description

Conduit House is a conduit house built around 1750, constructed from sandstone ashlar in the Gothic revival style. The building is octagonal in shape and features a tower with buttresses, decorative panels, and a corbelled parapet. On the west side, there is a door with a two-centred arch, while the east side has two cusped lights beneath a two-centred arch with a quatrefoil-pierced tympanum. The north side includes an oeil-de-boeuf window with patterned glazing, and similar lights can be found on the south side and above the door. The angle buttresses have offsets and are adorned with carved heads where they meet the parapet, which is topped with triple-moulded coping.
