Description

The structure consists of remnants of a walled garden associated with Seaton Holme, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The north wall is constructed of random rubble and is faced with hand-made narrow red brick. The east wall is made of unfaced random rubble. Both walls feature stone coping, stand approximately 6 metres high, and extend about 70 metres in length. The brick-faced wall has single cambered openings at either end, although it does not exhibit a recognizable bond. The rubble wall continues at a right angle to the brick section.
