Description
The gate piers to Harperley Hall, located in Wolsingham parish, date back to the 17th century. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar and consist of two tall square piers. The piers feature projecting, rusticated alternate courses, with plain courses that have small blocks on the inner faces, except at the top where they form jambs. Each pier has cornices and stepped copings, with an obelisk finial on the left pier, while the finial on the right pier is missing.
