Description
Old Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the third quarter of the 18th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a stone-flagged roof with ashlar chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the top panels glazed, set within a wide flat stone surround. The windows have flat stone lintels and sills, with mid-20th century sash windows. There are chimneys at each end of the house, and each return gable has a small square attic window. Attached to the rear is a one-storey, one-bay well-house.
Inside, the farmhouse includes a large chamfered beam in the left ground-floor room, with one end positioned above a window, and a wood fire beam. The heavy entrance door is fitted with H and L hinges, and there is a ramped narrow handrail on the plain stair balustrade.
