Description
No. 14 is a house that has been converted into a shop, built in the mid-19th century with a shop front added around 1900. The building is constructed of grey (yellow) brick in Flemish bond, featuring ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof.
The right side of the façade has a six-panelled door, while the left side has a recessed shop door, both of which are topped with fanlights that include glazing bars. The shop window has a rounded top light with similar glazing bars, and the shop door features bevelled glass set in patterned glazing bars. The shop front is framed by Tuscan pilasters and a bracketed cornice.
On the upper floors, there are sash windows with glazing bars and projecting stone sills that are cut back beneath at a 45-degree angle. The stone quoins are chamfered and support a similarly cut-back cornice that has paired brackets and ends in pyramidal-coped blocks. The low-pitched roof is topped with a tall, banded chimney on the left end.
