Description

Henknowle Manor Public House is a villa that dates back to around 1800 and is now used as a public house, with an attached yard wall. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with painted ashlar dressings. The front range features a concrete tiled roof, while the rear ranges have a Welsh slate roof, complemented by yellow brick chimneys with octagonal yellow pots.

The structure is arranged in a U-shape, with the yard wall connecting the rear wings. It stands two stories high and has three windows on the front facade. The central entrance consists of a renewed six-panel door flanked by sidelights and topped with a wide overlight, all set within a corniced plain stone surround that has a pediment-shaped top with acroteria. The windows feature flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills, with most of the sashes being renewed and including glazing bars. The hipped roof has ridge chimneys, and the left return displays two windows on each floor. The lower rear wing has three windows and a boarded door within a plain stone surround. The right return has similar windows but no door. The rear elevation features a high elliptical arch with keyed voussoirs in the yard wall, topped with flat stone coping.
