Description
The railway bridge, located 365 metres west of Elstob Crossing, was built around 1830 for the Clarence Railway Company. It spans a dismantled railway and is constructed from squared sandstone with tooled-and-margined dressings.
The east face of the bridge is symmetrical and features a central segmental tunnel arch made of chamfered voussoirs and quoins. On either side of the arch, there are three battered piers in the flanking walls. The bridge has a continuous solid parapet that is defined by a band and chamfered coping, which breaks forward above the piers. There is a central plaque on this side, although it is worn and illegible.
The west face of the bridge is identical to the east face but does not have a plaque.
