Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Church Street are two houses that have been converted into flats, with the main elevation facing Hallgarth Street. The buildings are constructed of stucco with painted ashlar dressings, while the rear features sandstone rubble with brick dressings. The roof of No. 1 is covered with pantiles, and No. 2 has a Welsh slate roof. Situated on a corner site, the rear of the houses faces Church Street. The elevation to Hallgarth Street has two storeys of different heights and consists of three bays. The first bay features renewed sashes with glazing bars and projecting stone sills. To the left of the lower second bay is a flushed door, accompanied by a wide ground floor sash and paired first floor sashes of a similar type. The higher third bay contains sashes with glazing bars. There are two ridge chimneys located between the bays.
