Description
This is a railway footbridge built around 1894 for the North Eastern Railway Company. It is made of cast iron and has a U-shaped design. The bridge features a wide elliptical arch adorned with triangular and circular decorative panels. Access to the bridge is provided by steps that run parallel to the railway line. At the landings, there are arched supports, and the bridge has panelled newels along with simpler principal supports that include diagonal bracing, which hold up a plain handrail.
