Description

The Cromer Pier was built between 1900 and 1901 for the Cromer Protection Commissioners, following the demolition of the previous jetty in 1897. This short pier is supported by iron girders. At the sea end is a small pavilion with a shaped roof, and immediately adjacent is a modern lifeboat house constructed in 1996. The entrance kiosks have been modernised and rebuilt, and there are also some modern amusement arcades located on the adjacent promenade.
