Description

Blackfriars Bridge, built in 1869, is attributed to James Cubitt. The bridge features five shallow, segmental arches made of cast iron, supported by abutments of grey granite. The piers are adorned with squat engaged columns, and the caps and bases are crafted from carved Portland stone. A Gothic balustrade made of grey granite completes the structure.
