Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of four, two-storey houses, numbered 95 to 101, built in pairs that mirror each other along a curved street line. It is believed these houses were originally stables for St Woolo’s Lodge. The front facades are roughcast, with a plinth, slate roofs (some of which have been replaced), and red brick chimney stacks, with replacements visible at No. 99. No. 95, which has been whitewashed, is the best-preserved example and retains 12-pane hornless sash windows and a four-panel door with a glazed upper panel. The doorway has a moulded architrave. While Nos. 97 to 101 have been updated with modern windows, the sizes of the window openings haven't been altered, and the moulded architraves remain. Modern doors are present at Nos. 97 and 101, while the door at No. 99 is of the same style as the one at No. 95. The windows at Nos. 99 and 101 are more widely spaced. The rear of the buildings show cross ranges.
