Description

The churchyard cross in Llanvapley features a series of four large steps leading up to its base. The lowest steps have coved moulding on the front of the coping stones, while the upper steps are made of solid squared blocks. The cross stands on a monolith square base, with its corners shaped into an octagonal form. This base has a ridged rounded moulding, and the ridge, curved sides of the broach, and the angles of the octagon are all highlighted with an incised bead moulding.
