Description
The Bridge Inn is an inn with white-painted scored roughcast walls and a pantile roof featuring brick end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window arrangement of 4-pane casements beneath the eaves, with 12-pane sashes on the first floor and 12-pane sashes flanking the half-glazed door on the ground floor. The side elevation facing the river, known as The Back, is two storeys and slightly angled to follow the bend, topped with a hipped roof. On the first floor, there is a 12-pane sash window to the right and twin 6/3 pane sashes to the left; the ground floor includes two doorways and a 15-pane fixed glazed window.
Inside, the inn retains 19th-century fireplaces, and the floor, which is partly made of large flags, is below street level. The first floor features exposed lightweight pegged timber framework supporting the hipped roof.
