Description
Velindre, located at Pant-y-Goitre House, is a two-storey house constructed from red brick, with the entrance front rendered and featuring natural slate roofs and red brick stacks. The building lacks a prominent facade, reflecting its original function as a service range. Its layout is irregular, centered around a service corridor for the kitchen on the ground floor and a nursery corridor above.
Access to the house is understated, through a courtyard leading to what was the back door into the kitchens of Pant-y-Goitre. The entrance features a panelled door and variously sized 6 over 6 pane sash windows. The garden elevation, which was not closely inspected, shows red brick walls with a broken front, 6 over 6 pane sashes, and 3 over 6 pane sashes on the upper floor, along with hipped roofs and tall stacks.
Inside, the finishes are plain and have undergone alterations. The building's history as a service range is evident, with the kitchens located on the ground floor and the nursery wing on the upper floor.
