Description

The Rectory is a house dating from the 18th century, retaining whitewashed render and a slate roof with brick end stacks. The main front of the house features a two-storey, three-window design with 12-pane hornless sash windows. A central front door is set within a painted timber doorcase featuring fluted pilasters with panelled heads and an open pediment, and is topped by an arched radiating-bar fanlight. Stone sills are present throughout. A two-storey addition from the 20th century extends from the left end with a metal window above a small sash window. A 20th-century lean-to is attached to the right end. The rear elevation displays varied window placement, including a central 12-pane stairlight.

Inside, a central hall leads to a staircase with stick balusters. The two main front rooms have high ceilings with simple cornices and panelled shutters. Rear rooms have lower ceilings.
